Manufacturers submit a comprehensive application for each product to BUILDING PRODUCTS Magazine. Entries are then reviewed by a select panel of judges including builders, remodelers, multifamily developers, and architects. Products are evaluated on their own merit, rather than in competition to other entries and awards are granted based on ease-of-use, forward-thinking, cost-saving, and the ability to provide 'value' to the building and remodeling community. Only products launched during 2006 were eligible for consideration.
